Challenge 17

Here is my Challenge 17 entry over at Michelle Perketts Studio. Managed to get it finished on time even with my son following me upstairs. I put the two piccies up just because you can see the sparkle on the slightly out of focus shot :)

Christmas Cards All Year Round

I have just finished this card, amazingly. It's half term so my son is home all day and driving me mad already and it's only day one. This is Michelle Perketts 'Queen of Hearts' which i have used in the Christmas Cards all year round challenge. I left this card blank in terms of wording as i figure it could be used as a Christmas Card or for a Birthday during the festive season. I coloured her with metallic gel pens but the sparkle doesn't really show up in the scan which is a shame infact I'm not sure the scan does it any justice at all but not sure i can do much about that, may have to try photographing her instead. Any how, season's greetings :0)

Cards, cards and more cards

Gosh it's been a creatively busy month since Christmas came and went. For a while there my creativity took a turn for the not so good but it's back on form now :) Below is my newly tweaked Easel card for my hubby for Valentines Day. It was made using a free digi from GTC's Crafty Corner you know me and Owls i really enjoyed playing with this design. I coloured him digitally and then added a pastel paint effect using Paint Shop pro. Printed him off Three times and decoupaged him. Fixed the non existent easel element today, as this was my second attempt and i had got the tut the wrong way round lol. Hope hubby appreciates George :)

This was my first attempt at an easel card but this too got repaired today lol. Loving the docrafts cuties that i double mounted, nice Easter cards or just because :)

Oh yes after the two attempts above i had to have a go late last night to sort out where i was going wrong so tda i got it right, three times a charm lol. Loving the docrafts sheep too, in the pink :)

and here is all the cards that i have been making of late bar the new additions above, not bad for something i barely touched for the last twelve months while I've been felting and drawing and painting :)

Moon Fairy - Things with wings

This card is part of the challenge over at Pollycraft - 'Things with Wings' I think this fits the bill nicely and it's the Moon Fairy which can also be found at Pollycraft. So cute i think :)

Love Letter Blog Hop

Welcome to the Love Letter Blog Hop. This is your weekend hop round all the lovely blogs of the members of Michelle Perketts group over at Paper Craft Planet. We were asked to create using one of Michelle's images and to include a love letter. To be honest as yet i haven't written my love letter and I'm not sure it's something i would share if i had but maybe later today i will have completed that part of the task. In the mean time here is my card and alongside it my attempt at a box which turned out only big enough for a heart for the one that i love :)

This is my card created using Michelle's Love Letter Fairy and included in my card layout is a Valentine template care of my mum found here a perfect combination so thanks to Michelle and Mum :) I used a patchwork piece of scrapbook paper which i folded back on itself to make the corners and embellished with glittered red peel offs and gold hearts and mounted the main feature with foam pads, can't do flat cards lol.

Here is my little Valentine box made from a free magazine template, will try and include a link when i find one. Came out rather small but relatively easy to make and i embellished with some hearts tape, just like sellotape but clear and with lots of hearts all over and the same glittery peel offs and then i put two gold coloured flat back stones on the heart openings. Quite a sweet little box i guess.
